提花面料可分為單雙色提花和貢緞提花。

單色提花先經提花織機織好提花坯布后再進行染色整理，面料成品為純色；多色提花為色織提花面料——先紗染好色后再經提花織機織制而成，后進行整理，所以色織提花面料有兩種以上的顏色，織物色彩豐富，不顯單調，花型立體感較強，檔次更高。面料幅寬不限，純棉面料有小幅縮水，不起球，不掉色。
